Dear brothers and sisters in Christ, As we near the end of our Lenten journey I want to give you an update from the parishes. First, I would like to thank all of you who participated in our Palm Sunday celebration by driving by to receive your palms and a blessing. I was very pleased with the number of people who came and it was wonderful to see you all even though we could not gather for mass. Also, thank you to all who made contributions on Sunday and those who are continuing to give online or by dropping off your gift at the parish office. As you might expect, parish income is down but we are cutting expenses and I hope we will be ok. God will provide. Remember you can donate online at https:// Obviously, our Easter celebrations will be different this year. I encourage all of you to participate in the Triduum celebration (Holy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil) via the internet and the liturgies to be celebrated at the Cathedral. The schedule is as follows: Holy Thursday - Mass of the Lord’s Supper 6:00 PM - English 7:30 PM - Spanish Good Friday - Celebration of the Lord’s Passion 3:00 PM - Spanish 6:00 PM - English Saturday - Easter Vigil 6:00 PM - English 7:30 PM - Spanish Easter Sunday 10:00 AM - English 12:00 PM - Spanish Bishop Zurek will be presiding at all the liturgies which can be seen at www.amarillodiocese.org/ Finally, just a note from the St. Joseph’s youth - the popcorn has arrived but the youth will wait until later to deliver your orders after our current health concerns lessen. Thank you for supporting our youth. As always, I hope you are all healthy and safe. May God bless you. Fr. Christopher |
